Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
The short version. Dabbit collects no personal information from you or your child. Nothing your child makes or does in the app is sent to us, and we have no way to tell who is using it. This website is separate: it uses Google Analytics to count visits, and you can turn that off.
This policy covers the Dabbit app for iPhone and iPad and this website. Dabbit is made by StructLabs.io Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us"), a company registered in Singapore.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no sign-up, no accounts, no forms and no chat. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party code that collects data. It never sends us information about you, your child or your device.
What stays on your device
- Progress, the album and settings. Saved inside the app on your iPhone or iPad. The grown-ups progress screen reads from the same place and shows only on the device.
- Sharing. A grown-up can share a finished picture using the standard share sheet. You choose where it goes, and it never passes through us.
- Spoken numbers. When Dabbit reads numbers out loud, it uses the voices already on your device.
- Crash information. If the app runs into a problem, it keeps a small technical note on the device. It holds nothing your child made. If you have chosen to share analytics with Apple in your device Settings, Apple may receive crash data under Apple's own privacy policy.
Your device's own backups (to iCloud or a computer) may include this saved data, as they do for any app. Those backups are yours and are covered by Apple's terms.
When Dabbit uses the internet
Dabbit doesn't send anything to us. It only reaches the internet in two cases, and both start with a grown-up:
- Buying or restoring the unlock, which talks to Apple.
- Opening a link from the grown-ups section, such as this page, which opens in your web browser.
Purchases
Dabbit has one optional unlock, sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, card or Apple Account. Apple gives developers anonymous sales totals, and that is all we receive.
The grown-ups question
Buying, restoring, sharing, and any link that leaves the app sit behind a grown-ups question: a multiplication sum answered on a number pad. It keeps these choices with you. It is a gate, and it does not collect anything.
Children's privacy
Dabbit is made for children aged 4 to 8 and is made for the App Store Kids Category. Because the app collects no personal information, we have nothing to share, sell or hand to anyone. This approach is meant to meet children's privacy laws including the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU and UK GDPR, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
Keeping and deleting data
We hold no data from the app, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. Everything Dabbit saves lives on your device, and you're in control of it:
- Deleting the app removes all its progress, pictures and settings from that device.
- Pictures a grown-up has shared or saved through the share sheet stay wherever they were sent until you delete them there.
This website
This section is about playdabbit.com only. It does not change anything above: the Dabbit app still collects nothing.
On playdabbit.com we use Google Analytics 4, run by Google, to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It loads only on playdabbit.com itself, never inside the app.
- What it collects. Pages viewed, how you arrived (for example a search or a link), rough location at city or country level, and device, browser and language. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Cookies. It sets first-party cookies (named
_gaand_ga_followed by an ID) so repeat visits can be counted. - What we switched off. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are off. We keep this data for the shortest period Google allows, two months.
- What we don't do. We don't use it to identify anyone, and we don't sell or share it for advertising.
Turning it off. Use the button below. It saves your choice in this browser for two years, and Google Analytics will not load here again until you turn it back on. You can also add ?optout=1 to any playdabbit.com address. Google's own browser add-on works too.
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may briefly log technical details such as IP addresses to keep the site running and secure. We don't use those logs to identify anyone.
If you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and we use them only to reply. Ask us to delete your messages at any time and we will.
Changes
If Dabbit ever changes what it does with data, we'll update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that version is released, and change the date at the top of this page.
